I live half an hour away and it's easier and nicer to come to Edgewood than go to Abq, but for getting your hair cut, it's just not worth it. I can't even get a cut here because of long waits and not offering appointments. No matter the wait time they give me (I've tried thrice now), I end up waiting 45 minutes to an hour before finally giving up and getting my shopping done. This salon would be greatly improved by allowing employees to take appointments rather than just walk-ins.
The Hair stylists are always very kind and very friendly, They even remember things that I said out of conversations, That I even forgot... smiles and they listen to what I would like them to do to my hair..... Normally a good experience, however the stylist today 9/22/16@1230 obviously does NOT enjoy happy kids. My boys love haircuts. The stylist scolded them the entire time stating "Look, you stop because I'm not here to hurt you." All as they sat really well and giggled because the clippers tickled. Look, I'm the first to admit if my kids aren't behaving and will remove them from public if they are acting inappropriately. Today they were gentlemen excited for a new 'do and the lady was just down right unhappy to be there. We will avoid her at all costs in the future.
Amazing experience every time. Billie always cuts my hair, and I have never been disappointed. She's super nice and very quick. She checks in on you throughout the cut to make sure you are happy with the results so far. I'm very paranoid when it comes to anyone cutting my hair. But, Billie makes me so comfortable, and I always leave with my hair looking perfect.
I am very sorry that your experience hasn't been a good one. It is hard when we aren't allowed to take appointments. However if you call the salon on your way we would be more than happy to put u in the computer so you'll have less of a wait time when you arrive. We suggest that guests call no more than 20 mins before they arrive and no longer than an hour before they arrive.
