I wouldnt be writing this right now if it had not happened to me more than once. The customer courtesy behind that counter is terrible. I walked in there and two young women and two male employees were back there talking about a tape measure. One of the young women made eye contact with me, no greet, no nothing, then turned back to their apparently profoundly important tape measure discussion. I stood there to the point of feeling embarrassed and ready to leave. Finally, that same wretched employee looked over at me, all annoyed, and asked me, "Is there something I can do for you?" I spent 50 dollars on the bucket of roofing cement I needed and left, never to return. Those stupid people apparently believe that it is a privilege for us to walk through that door. I will drive to Santa Fe or Albuquerque before I ever go there again. And I will strongly recommend to all my friends, colleagues, family, and employees to do the same. Hunter Lumber went out of business at that location for that same kind of utter disregard for their customer base. And the same thing is going to happen to them if they don't get some professionalism going on behind that counter. The only reason they got one star from me today is because you have to, to get the comment page to open up.
Good selection for the area prices a little high but comparable to a trip to town
They always seem to have what I need and the staff members there are always quick to help out. It may cost a little more than the big box stores, but I'm supporting the local economy and the attention and assistance I get is a thousand times better.
I went in to get a couple of gallons of paint for my porch. I was helped by the owner, who expertly mixed my paint, made sure it was was exactly what we wanted, and was very friendly to my wife and children, even rewarding my children with a couple of whirligigs on the way out the door! The paint I purchased was very high quality and comparable in price to Bher or Sherman-Williams. Will definitely be back again and again and again...
High priced. On the floor always someone to help. Check out is slow. Yard guys are quick to load your. Huge supply of lumber
